Getting your plans reviewed is simple—and the Architectural Insight gained therein can save you time, money, and stress throughout the future stages of your project.

Step 1: Select Your Plan Review Package

Architectural Insight offers independent, professional design review services for full drawing sets or single room layouts. We also offer comparison design reviews to help you choose between two different plans or two layout options for the same room. Please visit the "Plan Reviews" page to learn more about each available option.

Note: These pre-designed plan review options have been created, and priced, with single-family residential house plans (or renovation plans) in mind. If you require a professional design review for duplexes, multi-family developments (townhouses/apartments/villas), commercial spaces, or planned developments please reach out for a no obligation quotation at: info@architecturalinsight.net.

Step 2: Submit Payment

Add your preferred plan review to cart; checkout; and complete your transaction quickly and securely using PayPal's trusted payment platform.

Note: In alignment with our streamlined and delay-free operation intentions, our website will automatically direct you to Paypal upon checkout.  We do accept other payment methods though, so please reach out to info@architecturalinsight.net for an emailed invoice and payment options, if needed.  

Step 3: Upload Your Plans and Tell Us What is On Your Mind

Upon successful payment using PayPal's trusted payment platform, you will be redirected back to the Architectural Insight Inc. website.  This landing page will include the brief client in-take form and file upload instructions.  Please be sure to fill out the intake form, and upload your relevant files, to avoid delaying your review.  It goes without saying that we cannot complete your review if the files to be reviewed have not been submitted.

To do this:

• Complete the short, fillable form. We only ask basic information about yourself, your project, and the email address that you would like your review sent to upon completion. 

• You will have opportunity to add your own comments, or any specific questions or concerns, about the plans that you are submitting for review.  

• Upload your drawings: Sketches, stock plans, custom drafted drawings and/or inspirational photographs. Include anything that you have for the current stage of your project.

Note: All information provided is treated as confidential. Your submitted sketches, plans, photographs and contact information will not be shared for any purposes.

Rest assured that you don't need to supply “perfect” plans or drawings for your review. Receiving feedback at even the earliest stages of design can save you time, money and stress in the future stages of your project. We will review your design at development stage that you are currently at.

Architectural Insight Inc. takes an independent, thoughtful, and unbiased look at your submitted plans or single room layout(s), focusing on the following design characteristics (where applicable to your project):

• Layout and functionality
• Furniture placement considerations
• Privacy and noise considerations
• Market trends and resale considerations
• Energy efficiency considerations (ie: heat gain/loss considerations)
• Environmental psychology considerations
• Potential building code concerns
• ((Disclaimer: A comprehensive building code review will NOT be conducted in any review package offered by Architectural Insight Inc. However, if a potential building code issue is suspected during review, it will be documented so that you can look further into the matter with your local architect, designer or builder. This service provides design observations and recommendations only. It does not constitute architectural, engineering, or code compliance services. Full building code review must always be conducted by your local building authority (or other designated party that is responsible for your specific jurisdiction).))
  
• Insight towards any particular areas of your design that are suspected to cause problems or additional costs during construction.

Our service is a professional house plan design review—not a re-design.

Step 2: We Provide Clear, Written Feedback

Expeditiously delivered straight to your email inbox, you will receive a professionally prepared design review that clearly explains:

• What looks good
• What may need attention
• When relevant, suggested questions or potential adjustments to discuss with your local architect, designer or builder.

Everything is reported to you in plain written language — no technical jargon to try to decipher. All reviews are delivered in standard PDF file format and printable on 8.5" x 11" letter size paper, if desired.
